  3. Consider this post a desperate plea for help. I'll outline as clear
  4. as possible, and ask (beg) that someone can help me figure this out
  5. before I go insane. TIA

  7. Problem:
  8. When I render frames in LW 3.1 my system occasionally crashes. I get
  9. GURU # 81000005 and then task number such as:
  10.     011D4D30    01068BE0    0176FAF8
  11.     0113CD68    0173A428    011C1450
  12.     0104CD78    011C7BC8
  13.     011C7978    011373D0
  14.  
  15. A program I have defines the Guru # to mean "AN_MEM Corrupt. Corrupt
  16. Memory List Detected In FreeMEM()"
  17.  
  18. The bizarre part is I can't tell you exactly when this happens?? 
  19. Sometimes I will render about 20 frames then the crash, other times
  20. 2 frames then the crash. I have tried to re-render a frame it crashed
  21. on to see if it was something specific to the frame, but it will work
  22. if I render it again. I can not find a pattern, or find the exact
  23. operation that makes it crash.

  25. My Setup:
  26. Amiga 2000HD
  27. GVP 030/25Mhz with 9 megs of 32bit ram and SCSI controller
  28. A2091 board which has 2 megs of 16bit ram
  29. Toaster 1.0 card with 3.1 Software
  30. Syquest 88meg exterbal
  31. 350 meg internal scsi drive
  32. 50 meg internal scsi drive
  33. I am recording directly to Sanyo 950 (I am not saving frames to any
  34. drive)
  35. Kickstart 2.1 rom
  36. Workbenck 2.1

  38. What I have tried:
  39. I have run every memory check program I can find, and they all report
  40. no errors. 
  41. I have disabled the 2 megs of 16bit ram on a tip that might cause the
  42. problem.
  43. I have moved the memory chips around on my GVP board to see if the
  44. TASK number changes, it doesn't.
  45. Called Newtek support.
  46. Run a memory block program to disable the memory areas reported by
  47. the task numbers.

  49. AND NOTHING STOPS THOSE VISITS FROM THE GURU!!!

  51. Well, if you have made it this far I thank you for at least letting
  52. me vent. If you have any ideas or guesses please let me know.
